For nearly thirty years, we’ve been on an adventure with Nando’s, bringing the unique flavours of PERi-PERi chicken to people in 23 countries on five continents. This month marks our first foray into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – and we are delighted to take our place in Riyadh’s highly-competitive casual dining scene.
Across the world, we’re known for great tasting chicken and we take pride in using only the very best birds, marinating them in our secret sauce for 24-hours before delicately flame grilling and basting them to perfection.
Whether you’re a spice fiend opting for Extra Hot or the milder Lemon & Herb or something completely different such as a salad, we hope the residents of Riyadh – and many other cities in the years to come – will fall in love with our food the way millions of other people have, savouring the Afro-Portugese heritage that has made it so unique.
That heritage not only reflects on our food but also the warm welcome people can expect when they walk through our doors. That welcome starts with the décor which has become a unique feature of our restaurants. Every premise is decorated in a completely unique way but which harks back to the humble Portugese eatery which sparked the Nando’s phenomenon in 1987.
Our staff – known as Nandocas – work hard to make everyone feel at home and live up to our motto: “mi casa es su casa.” Literally, this translates as ‘our house is your house’ and which we hope marks out Nando’s as a real experience rather than just a place to get great tasting chicken.
We’ve worked really hard to make sure that our first venture into the Kingdom is a success. Understanding the vibrant food scene in the country – particularly in Riyadh – has inspired us to set ourselves a new benchmark for the food and service we deliver and which we call ‘Fit for the Kingdom.’
We hope that very soon, the residents of Riyadh will agree with us that Nando’s is ‘Fit for the Kingdom.’
